Apologies but Ballard have cancelled today’s 1st XV and U10 matches because of waterlogged pitches. The 1st XV match has been re-scheduled for Monday 30th November at 1400 at HW. The U13 and U11 netball matches at Durlston Court have also been cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions.
These matches were scheduled for Saturday 21st at 10.30am. Dumpton are unable to play on this date so we have re organised these two matches. They will now happen on Friday 20th November at 2pm. Both matches will be at HW.
The Colts A, Colts B, U10 and U9 will be played on Saturday 21st November at 10.30 as advertised in the calendar.
If you go through Lymington you will notice that the Christmas Lights have been put up in readiness for the Grand Opening Ceremony at 6pm on 27th November. Father Christmas, various bands, street entertainers, the Steam Car, the parade of heroes and super firework display: all organised by Lymington Community Foundation (www. LymingtonCommunity.com) and sponsored by the businesses and people of Lymington.
Donations can be made on the night or through Barclays and H.S.B.C.
FOOTBALL SEASON – AUTUMN TERM 2009.
Looking back over the past 7 weeks, there is much to celebrate and to be very proud of. In fact I would go as far to say that this has been our most successful season for 6 years and the results clearly show this.
Starting with the 1st XI who played some excellent football throughout the term and apart from one match (a rare and very underserved defeat against Durlston) recorded a very pleasing set of results, the highlight being winning the Moyles Court Tournament for the 2nd year running.
The team of the season was definitely the Colts who not only won every match, they also recorded tournament wins at Moyles Court and at Castle Court. A tremendous achievement and one which will be very tough to beat in years to come. However the U10’s will have a very good chance of repeating this success as they have remained unbeaten once again; they have now been unbeaten for 3 seasons. So hopefully the Moyles Court and Castle Court trophies will be at Hordle Walhampton for another year – at least that’s the target!
The other highlights are the U11B winning at Twyford and the 3rd XI winning at Dumpton. All of the other teams have improved during the season and the standard of football has been very high. It is important to note that every boy in the school has represented the school during the season and on some Wednesdays; we have had every boy playing in a match, clearly illustrating our sport for all policy. With rugby in full swing now, let’s hope we can continue this success.
Nigel Reed.

We hope you all enjoy fireworks night at school. Entertainment will start in the back courtyard at 6.00pm. A rocket at 7.05pm will give you ten minutes warning before the main firework display starts at 7.15pm. Please remember that you are responsible for the safety of the children that you bring to the display. Again we hope you have an enjoyable evening.
