This term Year One are learning all about Toys. The children have been bringing in all sorts of construction toys from home to use in class and have attempted to make a wide variety of different models. Some children also brought in completed models from home. William McManus made a wonderful spaceship which he proudly presented to the Pre-prep.

Guided by our senior pupils, your tour will include visiting the classrooms, the sports fields, the music rooms, the art rooms, the riding arena, the Performing Arts Centre, the sports hall, Chapel, Pre-Prep, the library and the boarding house. In fact, everywhere that makes Hordle Walhampton such a special place.
There will also be time to talk to the Headmaster, Mr Phillips, to the staff and to the children.

The Burrard scholarship exams take place on Saturday 6th February between 0915 and 1300 at Hordle Walhampton School. For further information and an entry form, please contact our registrar, Rita Cordery on 01590 672013. Entry forms need to be submitted by 29th January.
The weekly general knowledge quizzes have re-commenced. Do please encourage and support chidren at home who are trying to find out and learn answers to questions.

A reminder that Year 6 are putting on their production of What the Dickens! on Thursday 28th January at 1900. It will take place in the Performing Arts Centre.
Unfortunately due to the current poor conditions of pitches at both Hordle Walhampton and Clayesmore and the limited training that has been possible with the children thus far this term, all matches on Saturday have been cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Now that the ice and snow has all but gone, can children please wear their normal black shoes to come to school and not trainers.
