There’s been a lot of water splashing around outside of Pre-Prep lately…. but all necessary for the very best of scientific research.
As part of their science curriculum, the children in Year One have been rigorously testing a variety of materials in order to establish whether or not they are waterproof.
With great concentration, a very large watering can and a lot of enjoyment, our young researchers poured copious amounts of water on a number of different objects before examining them carefully to see which of the fabrics had withstood the deluge. As well as being a lot of fun, the experiment helped the children to understand and appreciate how important it is for their coats and boots to be waterproof – particularly for Forest School.
