Dr Julian Lewis MP visits our Pre-Prep Department
Following Ofsted’s ‘Outstanding‘ rating for Early Years in the Pre-Prep Department, Dr Julian Lewis, Member of Parliament for the New Forest, came to give his personal congratulations to the staff and to say hello to all the children in the department.
After sampling some homemade scones in the Staff Room (pronounced ‘quite delicious!’), Dr Lewis join the children in the Nursery whilst they enjoyed their mid-morning milk and banana. It was then on to the Kindergarten where Dr Lewis was soon involved helping the children to make bricks using their sandwheel.
Since the Reception children were out at Forest School that morning, Dr Lewis used his time to call upon Years One and Two, where he was somewhat surprised to find his website projected on one classroom whiteboard. “It’s that man!” one small girl was heard to whisper as she made the association between the photo on the website and the real-life visitor standing at the front of the classroom.
Finally, Dr Lewis joined all our Early Years outside for a memorable group photograph.
