Pre-Prep supports RNLI Save Our Soles Day

Over 150 children and staff from the Pre-Prep supported the RNLI Save Our Soles day by wearing their favourite trainers to school.Following a visit from RNLI representative Fiona Heath who talked about the role of the RNLI and the SOS day, all of the staff and children paid at least £1 for the pleasure of donning their favourite footwear and raised over £150 in total.

Mrs Beth Morris, Head of Hordle Walhampton’s Pre-Prep said “We are delighted to support such a worthy cause as the RNLI.  As you would expect due to our location, many of our children and their families are involved in sailing and the RNLI is an integral part of this.  The SOS day not only allows us to raise funds, but also helps our children understand what an important role the RNLI plays.”

The school has a strong sailing tradition and runs a popular sailing activity on their own lakes and from the Royal Lymington Yacht Club and boasts Olympic bronze and silver medallist, Nick Rogers, as one of its former pupils.
