Red Nose Day
A big thank you to Mr Norris for organising the best Red Nose Day the
school has had for many years. First of all, there was red everywhere as
the children were encouraged to wear their reddedst clothes and had
their noses (and more) painted red by Mr Nicholls nd his team. Then
everybody laid on the floor in the Sports Hall to measure the total
height of the school, and we determined that the tallest house was Elgar,
closely followed by Osborne, then Rutherford and finally Johnson. The
total height of the school came up to 495 metres. But the funniest part
was when the children who came up with the closest guess got to throw
wet sponges at Mr Norris! We then used our left over coins to cover a map of Africa...twice! All in all, it was a great fun day and we managed to raise an amazing £1140.49, including the little extra raised by some of the children who took the generous initiative to continue collecting money after school.
